Viola Mentor, Huron
Arthur is a violist and a senior at Huron High School. Arthur has played viola since fifth grade because he wasn’t offered a chance to try out his other instrument selections of cello and flute - violists are rare beings in high demand. He enjoys playing the viola due to its deeper sound compared to the violin and especially enjoys playing in concerts alongside fellow violists during his time in the Clague Middle School orchestras as well as Huron Concert/Symphony orchestras. Arthur joined PPL with the intention of helping fellow violists play to the best of their ability as well as to learn to love the sound of the viola.
Outside of PPL, Arthur is the Co-Captain of the Huron Science Olympiad team, hip-hop leader in APEX, enthusiastic student in the PLTW engineering program at Huron, and an amateur graphic designer and laser engraver. In his spare time (what spare time?), Arthur enjoys reading sci-fi, a good laugh, petting his cat, and creating minimalistic digital art. Arthur aims to become an engineer of some sort, continue to dabble in design, and spread the awesomeness of the viola wherever he goes.
