Arthur Zhang
Flute Mentor, Huron
Arthur is a senior at Huron High School. He first picked up a flute in the 3rd grade, taking lessons from a family friend for about a year. After trying out the cello in 5th grade and continuing into 6th, Arthur decided to join the band community and return to his silver stick. He is honored to have toured Europe with the Blue Lake International Southern Winds ensemble and to be able to play with the wonderful group of musicians who make up the Huron Symphony Band. Arthur would like to tutor others to help uncover the joys of flute playing, as well as to hone his own skills and meet new people.
Outside of music, Arthur is a varsity member and captain of the men’s swim and dive team and a curriculum developer for INNO. He holds interests in psychology, mechanical engineering, biology, and anything relating to space. Arthur has recently begun to dabble in computers (though he’s certainly not an expert) and loves to spend time in nature. |
