Ayaka Inoki

Bassoon Mentor, Huron
Picture
Ayaka is a bassoonist and senior at Huron High School. Originally a clarinetist, she started playing the bassoon in 7th grade when she realized two reeds was cooler than one. Today, she is part of the Huron Symphony Band and has participated in the Michigan Youth Band as well as in ensembles at the Community Music School of Ann Arbor. Her most memorable moment with the bassoon was playing in the Huron Symphony Orchestra at the Midwest Clinic, where she learned the beauty of music-making. Through PPL, Ayaka is excited to work with other talented musicians to spread her passion for music and give back to the community that has supported her in her music career.
Outside of PPL, Ayaka enjoys playing on the Huron Women’s Varsity Soccer team, where she values the friendships she has formed throughout the years. Other than that, she takes pride in her ability to sing regardless of pitch whatsoever and hopes others would appreciate this talent for once. While Ayaka is still undecided about her future, her only plan is to continue single-tonguing when life gives her allegro molto 16th notes.
