Benny Wang

Outreach Team, Viola Mentor, Huron

Benny is a senior at Huron High School. He has played the viola since 5th grade. His mother voiced her distaste for the high-pitched squeaky sounds of the violin, and after he deemed the cello too big for his tiny frame, Benny settled on the viola. It was through music that Benny has met some of his closest friends, and he continues to play in search of other meaningful connections that he can make. Through PPL, he hopes to connect with others over their passion for music, all while helping to develop both his own and others’ skills.

Outside of PPL, Benny is a member of the Huron Varsity Men’s Soccer team. He has played soccer for over 11 years now. In his free time, Benny enjoys hanging out with friends, taking naps, eating, and watching random food videos on YouTube. Benny is unsure about his future plans, such as where he will be attending college or what he will be studying, but he is sure he will make the most out of any situation and enjoy life to the fullest.
