Christopher Zou
Director-in-Chief | Founder
Christopher (Chris) is a senior at Huron High School. He has been a violinist since fifth grade, when he was told that his arms were too short to play viola. Christopher counts himself lucky to have shared so many experiences with the Huron orchestra family, among them touring China, playing at the Midwest Music Conference, and singing around a warm campfire with friends. Through Peer Private Lessons, he hopes to achieve his longstanding goal of making lessons accessible for all Huron students, empowering everyone to enjoy simply playing an instrument and making a good sound.

Besides serving as director for Peer Private Lessons, Christopher is a four-year varsity runner, amateur pasta chef, and president of Huron’s Key Club, National Honor Society, and Symphony Orchestra. He also served as an inaugural member of Ann Arbor’s Student Advisory Council and constantly looks for time to work on a play in progress titled American. While he is still waiting to hear back from colleges, he ultimately aims to make the best of his time wherever he goes and help build a better life for others through biochemical research or public policy.
