Christopher Zou has been a violinist since fifth grade, when he was told that his arms were too short to play viola. Christopher counts himself lucky to have shared so many experiences with the Huron orchestra family, among them touring China, playing at the Midwest Music Conference, and singing around a warm campfire with friends. By founding Peer Private Lessons, he hoped to achieve his longstanding goal of making lessons accessible for all Huron students, empowering everyone to enjoy simply playing an instrument and making a good sound.

During his time at Huron, Christopher served as president of Huron's National Honor Society, Key Club, and Symphony Orchestra and an inaugural member of Ann Arbor's Student Advisory Council. He was given the Charles Baird Humanitarian Award upon graduating and honored as a Presidential Scholar Semifinalist. Now a freshman at UC Berkeley, Christopher plans to double major in Chemical Biology and Business Administration to pursue entrepreneurial activities in neuroscience.
