Hana Hughes

Euphonium Mentor, Huron

Hana Hughes is a junior at Huron High School. She has been playing the euphonium since the fifth grade, when she was told that her lips were the wrong shape to play flute. She has loved playing with the Huron Symphony Band, as well as participating in small ensembles with her band mates. Through PPL, Hana hopes to encourage younger players to not only just play their instrument well, but to love making music.
Hana also loves to play volleyball and travel. She finds learning new languages/cultures to be interesting and hopes to master Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, and Latin at some point. She also enjoys learning about Biology and Chemistry, and hopes to pursue these subjects in college.
