Sydney Proudlock

Violin Mentor, Pioneer

As a junior violinist, Sydney has played for most of her life, beginning lessons in just first grade. She has had experience playing the violin in chamber groups, soloing, and being a member of Pioneer’s Symphony Orchestra. She also recently had the opportunity to perform as the lead violinist in a musical theater production’s pit orchestra. In addition, Sydney has been a teacher’s assistant in the strings program at St. Francis School for the past three years mentoring young musicians.

Aside from orchestra, Sydney is a member of NHS, Pioneer’s Student Council, Model UN and president of her club, Operation Smile. She would like to one day pursue a medical career but hopes to keep playing her instrument through college.
