Operating Officer, Pioneer
Sieun is a violinist and senior at Pioneer High School. She picked up the violin in fifth grade because her mom always talked about how much she had wanted to play the violin as a child. Sieun loved the chill atmosphere of middle school orchestra, but fell into a bit of a slump with finding motivation in orchestra during her freshman year. She even considered quitting, but is very glad that she decided to stay. She cherishes the special memories and close friends that she has made through orchestra, and is looking forward to many more.
Sieun believes that PPL is an extremely beneficial tool that will not only help individuals improve and gain confidence, but strengthen the bonds among the entire orchestra program. She hopes that PPL will encourage those who may be considering giving up on orchestra to stay. Also, she thinks that PPL is a nice collaboration to see between the music programs of Huron and Pioneer.
Outside of orchestra, Sieun enjoys baking (and giving the food away because she doesn't particularly enjoy desserts), listening to music, playing with children, and watching football. She practices calligraphy and bullet journaling when she is bored in class (often) and is very good at procrastinating. For the future, she plans on attending university to study something in public health.
